Neil’s Seaplanes Limited is based at the extreme western end of Loch Earn at Scotland’s premier Watersports Centre. It is owned and operated by Neil Gregory. He is an experienced Seaplane Flying Instructor and CAA appointed examiner. He is also the owner and Managing Director of the Lochearnhead Watersports Centre.
Lochearnhead is situated approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. It is a picturesque village set in the mountainous region of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The village has two hotels and a good number of B&Bs of varying prices and standards.
For the non-flyers there are plenty of opportunities for sporting and outdoor activities locally in addition there are many places of interest and day trip locations within easy reach by car. For the flyers, Neil can provide full training for the single engine piston sea class rating plus skills flight test, mountain flying, VP differences, retractable gear differences, revalidations, and foreign licence conversions. Basic to advanced tailor-made courses to suit your requirements.
Whether you have never flown a seaplane and would like to just "have a go", or you are an experienced seaplane pilot who would like to try a new high performance seaplane type and sharpen your skills in a variety of challenging environments, Neil will endeavour to structure the training to best suit your needs.
All flying training is conducted on the immaculate Christen Aviat A-1 Husky amphibian fitted with Wipline 2100A amphibious floats, at an hourly rate of £215 (no VAT).
